Overview
With an integrated Montessori Casa program beginning at 2 1/2 years, Cornerstone Preparatory School is a private academy for all grades up to university entrance. We encourage our students to study and think beyond their own expectations since our goal is to nurture a lifelong desire for learning by developing character, determination, self-esteem, confidence and courage to be a leader in whatever they do. Using our eclectic approach in employing the Montessori, traditional and holistic style of teaching, we provide a strong biblical foundation curriculum with individualized, enriched programs that allow students to progress at their level. As an outreach ministry of the Chinese Presbyterian Church, we partner with them as we strive to equip our students for Christian life and leadership. Core subjects are supplemented by music, French, Mandarin, Tae Kwon Do as well as active participation in varsity sports.

Our son has attended Children’s Primary Centre (CPC)/Cornerstone Preparatory School (CPS) since nursery age (4 years old). He is now 7 years old and in Grade 1. Choosing to enroll our son in CPC/CPS was one of the best decisions we could have made. The strong bond I formed with God during my time at Cornerstone prepared me for this journey (at York University). With all the strong Christian teachers’ guidance, I maintained faithful to the word of God and tried my best to keep my every step under the Light. The mission of Cornerstone is to build strong Christian leaders for the world of tomorrow, and I truly felt that I am one of those leaders they trained to serve the Lord. I believe my strong bond with God not only kept me in His presence, but is made stronger every time temptation tries to pull me away from Him, and that came from a deep foundation I built with God during my time at Cornerstone.
I truly believe my time at Cornerstone was a tough boot camp for my journey ahead. However, the closeness of everyone at Cornerstone also contrast the distance that we as people made between one and another in the real world. Cornerstone reflects the community atmosphere that is lacking in our society, the passion shown by the teachers, the inclusiveness of the students, and the guidance by the leaders of God made me who I am today; a strong, smart, confident and lovable university student who is about to change the world!
