Delta
We at Delta are a group of Christians who are starting off our careers
committed to experiencing fellowship with believers as well as fully living
our lives in this world as God’s incarnations. We are a part of the greater
CPC family and believe that without each other, our efforts to reach our
community would be crippled. We treasured serving as a part of CPC’s
Community BBQ, ESL, and prayer ministry in the past year. We’ve enjoyed
being a part of events that encourage relationship building as a church,
such as the: CPC retreat, Relay for Life (raising money for cancer
research), Sunday school, softball team, dance and guitar lessons.
Delta’s mission statement is “Equipping each other to be God’s lights of the
world” and that is our desire for CPC as well. As a way of connecting with
the community that God has placed us in, we have participated in learning
about the atrocities committed in Darfur, started a book club, serving at
Eastminster United’s OOTC (Toronto’s Out Of The Cold program for the
homeless) once a month, serving food and worship at Treasure House
ministries (men’s hostel on Spadina)), and teaching ESL to restaurant
workers from the neighborhood. We are thankful to our leaders and the
caretakers of CPC - both are blessings from God. We look forward to a new
year of experiencing the tremendous life, love and opportunity God has given
us, alongside our brothers and sisters at CPC.
