“…From His roots, a branch will bear fruit.” -Isaiah 11:1 (b)

Root(s): n. a source or basis of life. A number that produces when multiplied by itself a number of times firmly established, fixed and unmoving.

Our Primary Goal is to as a church and a ministry to serve, care for and minister to the entire young person. Spiritually, mentally, socially and physically. We strive to build and establish a firm foundation for this group. Through, sports outings, mentoring and discipleship or just plain old “hangin’ out” with one another or other youth groups. We tackle the real issues that youth deal with and care about. Discovering our individual gifts, in order to put into action the “Life of Christ” that is alive in us, thus impacting the present and the future of each other, the church, the community around us, and the city of Toronto.

Who does Roots serve?

Roots is for high school students, but is also an extension of Y4C (Youth for Christ) as we allow students from grades 6-8 to attend as well, with parental consent and consultation.

What does Roots do?

- Sunday morning classes provide biblically grounded principles and environment for them to use and gain life application of the Word of God
- recreation/sports, drama activities
- to build strong friendships and relationships with other Christians, but also do the same and be “people of influence” and leaders amongst those who are non-Christians in this group and in their everyday lives
- activities that break down economic and social barriers within the youth and church community
